how do you know this CM was made by Obayashi? There's no much ressources about his CM works unfortunately!

I got the information off "mixi" (something like the japanese Facebook). Was doing some reasearch on his CM-work myself and stumbled over the Obayashi-community there, which is really dedicated.
You're right it's very hard to find listings of his CM-work, but if the cat's green eyes aren't an indicator for Obayashi, then what is? ;)

No proof that this was made by Obayashi, but the technics used look very much like him.

He did some work for this company (Renown), but the only info I could get is, that it was a campaign starring Ringo Starr.

This magic extra screening will take place on Thursday, July 2 at 11:55pm. It will not feature an introduction by Yoshihiro Nishimura or Noboru Iguchi, but it will feature a video introduction by the director (and his daughter, who wrote the film when she was eleven), and selected commercials from director Nobuhiko Obayashi’s career (including some previously unseen “Mandom” commercials - trust us, his commercials are amazing) (check out some of them here).
Thanks for these precious informations. I agree these CM share the usual Obayashi’s trademarks. Feel free to post again about these Obayashi CM as this is a fascinating and overlooked cinematic topic : )

Some Shisheido CM in early 70s were quite interesting .. I wonder whether Obayashi was involved in them (see @1’30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njLagY9b3so ) (very interesting Youtbube documentary btw)
